What is the selection process?Applications open annually in late January or early February. Students are selected via random lottery and will be notified by email by the end of February.
-
How many students are selected?Dalhousie SEAD is able to accommodate 24 Med 1 students (including both DMNS and DMNB students).
-
Is there a cost to participate?Yes. The fee is $250 and covers lunches for the two-week period and various administrative fees (summer elective fee, room rental, etc).
-
Can I still participate if I have to miss a day of the program? No. Selected students must attend every day of the SEAD program in order to retain their spot in the program. If a student is selected in the lottery but can no longer attend SEAD in its entirety, their spot will be released to a student on the waitlist.
